Time to prepare for 2010!
I believe doing better shouldn’t just take place in office; it should start when a candidate runs for office. That is why I have decided to take an unprecedented step and become the first candidate in the history of American Politics to post links on my website to all my opponents’ websites. I encourage everyone who visits my website to explore my plan for Illinois and then go to my opponents’ websites and see what their ideas are. This election should be about you, the voters, and knowing that you’ve elected the candidate who will best serve you.
We each need to make educated decisions when we vote. Though we shouldn’t vote for someone because we met them once and he/she said what we wanted to hear, many of us have been guilty of that at one point or another.
We need to start paying year-round attention to what the politicians we put in office are doing. Being involved in our government is just as important as getting the kids ready for school and making sure that dinner is on the table. Governmental policy greatly affects our families' futures, so it is our civil responsibility to hold policymakers accountable.
There are many candidates to choose from in this race, and I urge you to do the research you need to make an informed decision on primary day—February 2, 2010.
No matter whom you vote for, get out there and have your voice heard!
